Over the years, Vijay and Sita Vashee have shown a continued commitment to IIT Bombay with a range of contributions. Their most recent gift has helped establish a Vijay and Sita Vashee Chair in Climate and Sustainability at the institute that will help strengthen the institute’s commitment to environmental stewardship and establish as a leading research and education hub in climate science, sustainability, and green energy. In addition, he has funded fellowships and awards in Computer Science and Climate Studies and further endowed a Chair in Computer Science that he previously established.
